In the early years, Sassy was believed to be one of the first "whites" to be awarded "BEST IN SHOW". She was the WGSDCI National Specialty Show Best Puppy in 1990, the WGSDCI #1 Best of Breed Winner overall in 1991, and was the #1 bitch in 1993. At age seven (7), Sassy won Best Opposite Sex at the 1997 AWSA National Specialty show! Sassy was truly 'the dudes with the attitudes'!

May 13, 2003 "Reminiscing": I first met Sassy when she was just 3 weeks old. Even then, she was a "sassy" little pup loaded with attitude! (Trust me, her name was "Sassy" for a reason - she LOVED to "talk"!) As the years passed, she was my constant shadow & companion.

This past Friday, my beloved "Sassy" passed away. It happened suddenly and I am just grateful that I was there with her at the end. She was resting peacefully in my arms when she took her last breath… She will be dearly missed.

I am so very fortunate to have been able to love her and share almost a 1/3 of my life with her. I know that she has also touched many of you by passing on her many fine qualities to your own beautiful canine kids.

I am also eternally thankful to Jean Reeves (Reeves Royal Acres) and Denise Mencke (BeaDog Kennels) for their incredible accomplishments with Sassy's offspring - Angus and Jack - who both excelled beyond my wildest expectations.
